Education/Training: A BS or BA degree in a related field of study; specialized bank auditing education and training.
Skill(s): Proficient reading, writing, grammar, and mathematics skills; demonstrated proficiency in interpreting, analyzing, and reporting financial information; a thorough knowledge of bank regulatory requirements relating to the audit function; proficient interpersonal relations and communicative skills; visual and auditory skills; valid driver's license.
Experience: Experience preferred but not necessary
General Responsibilities: Responsible for performing a variety of audit functions in order to independently and objectively evaluate and report on the effectiveness of risk management, control, compliance, and governance processes; achieving goals as established in the assigned department's annual operating plan; coordinating work within the department, as well as with other departments; communicating with appropriate personnel; responding to inquiries or requests for information; maintaining appropriate records and providing assigned reports.
